James
Bailey

1967 - 2000
He came to us from Toronto on his blue Pinarello and a ready smile.
After shopping around for teams, He chose MCW - liking our openness and lack
(probably comparative) of ego. He fit in. Over the two years he rode
with us he upgraded from a 5 to a winning 4. One of the objectives in his
Daytimer was to win our Rider of the Year competition - he was in second place

All who knew him, will miss him ... it's really as simple as that. A
friend, a companion and teammate ... always full of encouragement and a steady
wheel .. Power with a smile...

As cyclists, we have all had "close" calls ... this one
wasn't. His death was a shock and has hurt our spirit and saddened our
hearts. Perhaps, though, there is victory in his life ... in that he won
his last race and died while riding his beautiful new Pinarello. We share
the grief with his parents, his friends from other teams, his co-workers and
among ourselves ... We are a better team and better people because of his
presence among us ...
